BAFTA Film Awards 2006


It's the BAFTA Film Awards tonight and as a BAFTA member here is Garfield Kennedy's prediction of what will win! - NOT necessarily what should win!

ADDED AFTER THE AWARDS CEREMONY: red indicates where I got it wrong. I was closer than it looks since I was torn in two by some of the choices!!! The VERY deserving "losers" include Heath Ledger and MichelleWilliams (Brokeback), Joacquin Phoenix (Walk the Line), George Clooney (Syrania and Good Night), Charlize Theron and Frances McDormand (North Country).

FLECHETTE Website Updates

UPDATE on our films

Recent productions include -

WINNING STREAK - a 10 minute TARTAN SMALL filmed drama directed by Marc de Launay, written by Jamie Havlin (All OVER BRAZIL) and produced by Garfield Kennedy - first screened at the Discovery Film Festival in Dundee.

THE GRANDPARENTS - a theatrical 35 minute documentary directed by Ioana Joca about her own grandparents in Transylvania. Screened at the Document 3 International Human Rights Film festival in Glasgow and nominated for two BAFTA Scotland Awards - as Best First Time Director and Best First Film.

HOW TO START YOUR OWN COUNTRY - a six part factual comedy series first shown on BBC2 and supported by CITIZENS' TV on BBC Interactive. Executive Producer: Garfield Kennedy and directed by Lee Phillips for Leafstorm. Soon to be released on DVD in the UK and series and format sold internationally (to The Netherlands and other territories).
